Sea lice are damaging marine copepod parasites that infest wild and farmed salmon. Lice are controlled largely by the application of medicines; however resistance has evolved to several such treatments. A simple model is used to explore situations under which treatment-resistant lice are likely to emerge. The model consists of farmed and wild populations of hosts that are infected with lice that exist in treatment-sensitive and treatment-resistant morphs. Resistance is assumed to impose costs on lice fitness, so the sensitive morphs have a selective advantage in the absence of treatment. Larval lice are exchanged between treated farmed hosts and untreated wild hosts by variable water currents. The model finds that resistance is most strongly selected under moderate levels of treatment on farms. High levels of treatment remove both sensitive and resistant lice from farms and, leave the wild untreated fish as a source of lice. The treatment per fish required to eradicate the resistant morphs increases as hydrodynamic mixing rates increase and so controlling emergence of resistance becomes less cost effective when mixing rates are high. 相似文献

重点考察了不同外阻(10、150和1 000Ω)对污泥微生物燃料电池(sludge microbial fuel cell,SMFC)产电性能及有机物去除速率的影响。结果表明,外阻对电池产电和有机物降解有显著影响,低电阻有利于电流产生及有机物消耗。当外阻为10Ω时,输出电流最高(4.2 mA),且污泥溶解性化学需氧量(SCOD)去除速率最快(53 mg.d-1)。DGGE图谱显示,不同外阻导致阳极微生物菌落结构有明显差异;CV扫描发现外阻对生物膜氧化还原能力有显著影响,低电阻下运行的阳极生物膜氧化还原活性较强。本研究为理解外阻与阳极生物膜间的关系提供一条有益线索,也为MFC性能提高提供一条可操作性的途径。 相似文献

利用经实验验证过的ABAQUS有限元模型对轴力和弯矩共同作用下的约束钢柱进行了参数分析。以钢柱的屈曲温度和临界温度作为主要的评价指标,主要考虑了轴力荷载比、弯矩荷载比、轴向约束刚度比、转动约束刚度比、长细比和钢柱端部弯矩比等参数的影响,并且对不同参数之间的耦合性进行了分析。参数分析结果表明,轴向约束刚度的增大将会明显降低约束钢柱的屈曲温度,但是对其临界温度的影响相对较小;端部弯矩比对钢柱的临界温度影响很小;当钢柱的轴力荷载比和弯矩荷载比较小、轴向约束刚度比和长细比较大时,考虑屈曲后性能可以显著提高钢柱的抗火能力。 相似文献

为研究城市生活污水(接收生活垃圾渗滤液后合并进入污水厂处理)和垃圾渗滤液中抗生素抗性的分布格局,采用高通量荧光定量PCR技术对城市生活污水和生活垃圾渗滤液中的抗生素抗性基因的多样性和丰度进行了分析.结果表明,生活垃圾渗滤液中检测出39种抗性基因,城市生活污水中检测出187种抗性基因,两者检出的抗生素抗性种类有显著差异(P0.05);相对于垃圾渗滤液,城市生活污水抗生素抗性基因有119种显著增加(P0.05),其中增加倍数最大的是转座子tnp A-04基因,blaVEB基因,分别达到了3 338倍和1 061倍,表明可移动元件转座子基因和β-内酰胺类抗生素抗性基因在城市生活污水中得到有效富集和传播;城市生活污水是环境抗生素抗性基因的重要存储库. 相似文献

厌氧氨氧化工艺启动周期过长,在实际应用推广中受到制约。为缩短厌氧氨氧化工艺启动时间,提高启动成功率,试验分别通过将两种来源的污泥分别接种在两个相同类型的UASB反应器,以及将相同污泥分别接种在不同类型反应器的方法,对厌氧氨氧化工艺启动阶段进行试验研究,探索能够缩短工艺启动周期、提高工艺启动成功率的有效措施。结果表明,增加机械搅拌装置、提高接种污泥的浓度及厌氧氨氧化菌落丰度指数,可以有效提高厌氧氨氧化反应器的耐浓度、耐负荷冲击性能,有利于厌氧氨氧化工艺的启动。 相似文献

A mercury resistant bacterial strain SE2 was isolated from contaminated soil.The 16 s rRNA gene sequencing confirms the strain as Sphingopyxis belongs to the Sphingomonadaceae family of the α-Proteobacteria group.The isolate showed high resistance to mercury with estimated concentrations of Hg that caused 50%reduction in growth(EC_(50)) of 5.97 and 6.22 mg/L and minimum inhibitory concentrations(MICs) of 32.19 and 34.95 mg/L in minimal and rich media,respectively.The qualitative detection of volatilized mercury and the presence of mercuric reductase enzyme proved that the strain SE2 can potentially remediate mercury.ICP-QQQ-MS analysis of the remaining mercury in experimental broths indicated that a maximum of 44%mercury was volatilized within 6 hr by live SE2 culture.Furthermore a small quantity(23%) of mercury was accumulated in live cell pellets.While no volatilization was caused by dead cells,sorption of mercury was confirmed.The mercuric reductase gene merA was amplified and sequenced.Homology was observed among the amino acid sequences of mercuric reductase enzyme of different organisms from a-Proteobacteria and ascomycota groups, 相似文献

The CeO2@TiO2 core–shell nanostructure catalyst prepared by a two-step hydrothermal method was used for selective catalytic reduction (SCR) of NOx with NH3 in this study. The catalyst presented the obvious core–shell structure, and the shell was amorphous TiO2 which could protect the active center from the SO2 erosion. The catalyst showed high activity and stability, excellent N2 selectivity and superior SO2 resistance and H2O tolerance. Characterizations such as TEM, HR-TEM, XRD, BET, XPS, NH3-TPD, and H2-TPR were carried out. The results indicated that the catalyst had large surface area and the active sites were well dispersed on the surface. The NH3-TPD, H2-TPR and XPS results implied that its increased SCR activity might be due to the enhancement of NH3 chemisorption and the increase of active oxygen species, both of which were conductive to NH3 activation. The excellent catalytic performance suggests that it is a promising candidate for SCR catalyst. 相似文献
